Who Can Apply

  • Indian citizen with graduation (Bachelor's degree) from a recognized university
  • Final year graduation students can also apply
  • Age: 21-40 years (General) as of 1 January 2026
  • Age relaxation: +5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women (MP domicile)
  • Uniformed posts (DSP, etc.): age limit 21-33 (General), 21-38 (reserved)
  • MP domicile required for reservation benefits — others apply as General only
  • Unlimited attempts within age limit
  • No minimum percentage required in graduation

Important Highlights

  • 2026 Prelims pattern changed: each question now carries 3 marks (up from 2) — total 600 marks
  • Negative marking introduced: 1 mark deducted per wrong answer (new for 2026)
  • Prelims is only a screening exam — marks are NOT counted in final merit
  • Final merit = Mains (1500 marks) + Interview (185 marks) = 1685 total
  • Mains has 6 papers including Hindi essay and draft writing — prepare for MP-specific content
  • Form cannot be edited after final submission — review everything before clicking submit
  • Application window is short (usually 15-20 days) — do not wait until the last day
